Wow. Holy smokes, UFC 284 will go down as an all timer. The festivities took place at the sold out and raucous RAC Arena in Perth Australia and featured a pound-for-pound fight to settle the score on who is the best fighter on the planet. One one side of the cage stood featherweight champion, Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski. Volk challenged Islam Makhachev for his lightweight title. Lots at stake. The fight was an instant classic. The co-main event was a featherweight interim championship fight between 2nd ranked Yair Rodriguez and 5th ranked Josh Emmett. We got a clear answer as to who is the next best featherweight in the UFC after Volk. The rest of the card featured many of the best MMA fighters from Australia and New Zealand, including Jack Della Maddallena, Jimmy Crute, Justin Tafa and Jamie Mullarkey. What a night!
